Academic writing: Learning in outdoor & blue spaces

I have been involved in outdoor education for nearly 30 years. During this time I have worked for Outward Bound (UK and NZ), The Ocean Youth Club (UK) and several years of freelance instructing while I was completing my PhD in Queensland, Australia. I have held academic appointments at Monash University, The University of Waikato, and Auckland University of Technology. I also held an Erasmus Mundus visiting scholar position at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences. I have co-authored two books: A Pedagogy of Place and Adventurous Learning and edited three further books; Seascapes; Shaped by the sea, Living with the sea and The ocean, blue space and outdoor learning. I am interested in place-responsive pedagogy and more recently learning in and through marine environments.
